When we think of a boho dorm room, we think of texture, mixtures of pattern, and unexpected design elements. There is no right or wrong to boho design. Boho dorm room inspiration is one of our favorites because it really reflects personal style. You can mix and match so many elements to create your overall boho dorm room look.
Boho Dorm Room by Decor 2 Ur Door
When designing this boho dorm room we knew we wanted to incorporate three colors that were completely different. We chose to use navy blue, red, and yellow – with pops of grey. We started by custom designing this lumbar pillow. It brought the entire boho dorm room look together. Here, we used two contrasting moroccan style fabrics, paired with ivory fringe (to add texture and flare) and created one pillow that is unique and unexpected. We love how this pillow pops on the navy blue bedding and really adds to that bohemian dorm room look we were going for.
To tie the look together, we added the same fringe we used on the lumbar pillow to the bed scarf. Fringe is a great way to make your dorm bedding unique. It adds a bit of movement to the bedding which we love!
One of our favorite elements in this bohemian dorm room is the elephant euro pillow. The jumbo grey pillow features sketch-like elephants that are perfect for the moroccan/bohemian design. We also love how the ivory crochet square pillow adds texture to the bedding while the navy aztec square is bold and tribal.
This ivory dorm headboard is the perfect addition to this boho dorm room bedding. The ivory is subtle and brightens up the look while being very versatile.
Remember, in boho design you can never have too many pillows. Pillows are a great way to add personality and texture. Don’t be afraid to add unexpected pops. Look how great this look turned out! Compliment your boho dorm room bedding with wood elements, macrame wall hangings, and succulents to really complete the look.
