Adventure Theme Mint and Navy Nursery
As many of ya’ll know, we have our own little baby – well D2D baby that is. Baby Bump Bedding by Decor 2 Ur Door was launched almost 3 years ago! At the time BBB was its’ own site and “sister company” to D2D. This year, with the rebranding of our site (and boy, are we in love!) you can shop D2D Dorm, Teen, Home, Apartment, and Baby from one platform! Think Pottery Barn – but custom (and we think cuter) ;).
We just launched some of the cutest baby bedding sets ever! Shop farmhouse nursery bedding, neutral baby bedding, cactus and desert baby bedding, palm tree baby bedding sets, and more! See our 2017 Baby Bedding Trends here.
BBB Adventure Theme Mint and Navy Nursery Design
Here is a peek into a room SUPER special to us. If you didn’t know already… Amanda (our shipping, marketing, go-to, finance guru, do it all-er) became a foster mom about a year and a half ago. Little Gavin became part of our home family – and our D2D family. He would come into the office every day and give his advice (although crying was not always what we wanted to hear). He was, and is, such a blessing to us.
We designed this room the day we found Amanda would be getting her little foster bundle of joy. The theme was “Oh, the places you will go.” We found it pretty fitting knowing that Gavin had so many places to go in life, so many things to conquer, and so much love to give.
We wanted the room to be bright and cheery – while also serving as a guest room for Amanda and Curt. We love how the navy teepee and air traffic patterns compliment the mint plaid, polka dots, and kangaroos (Amanda’s husband HAD to have this when he saw it). This Adventure Theme Mint and Navy Nursery turned out incredible and Gavin LOVED it! Now, Amanda has had a baby of her own who shares this bedding as a special sentiment to life and all God has offered us.
Amanda’s husband made this palate board and Megan made a world map wall monogram to create a fun wall decor piece to tie the look and colors together. We used an old trunk and added legs to create a fun and unique changing pad table. This changing pad cover is to die for.
Here’s a picture of how we tied together a guest room and nursery in one. That’s the fun part of D2D. We offer all bedding in all sizes – making it easy to coordinate any look for your needs! I have to say, I will never get sick of gingham plaid.
Designing custom baby bedding is about comfort and balance. We wanted to make sure the room was easy to navigate, pretty to look at, and of course… comfy as can be for the baby(s) to sleep. We ADORE how this custom nursery bedding look came out and can’t wait to be inspired for our next nursery room makeover.
